CBRE Adds to its Valuation & Advisory group

Paul Morassutti, Executive Vice President and Senior Managing Director CBRE annonced that the firm has new experienced talent to its Valuation & Advisory group.

 
TORONTO: Cheryl Farrow, AACI - Director
Cheryl comes from a national valuation firm where she most recently managed the office valuation group in the Toronto office and served as the lead contact for several national office portfolio assignments for some of Canada’s largest pension funds.

Cheryl has 13 years of experience and has a BA (Honours) in Urban Development from the University of Western Ontario and a Diploma in Urban Land Economics from UBC.

A sampling of some of Cheryl’s recent experience includes:

•    Brookfield Properties – 8 downtown Class A office buildings in Canada
•    Ontario Teachers Pension Plan – 4 downtown Class A office buildings in Canada
•    H&R REIT – 20 downtown and suburban Class A office buildings in Canada
•    Redcliff Realty Advisors – downtown and suburban office buildings in the GTA

Cheryl will join the Toronto office and will be located at 145 King Street West.

TORONTO: Adam Hannah - Senior Analyst
Adam also worked with a national valuation group as part of Cheryl Farrow’s team. Adam has experience with different types of real estate but focused primarily on the Office sector in recent years. Adam is a certified Argus PowerUser and is proficient in Dyna as well as a host of other software.

Adam received his BA at York University and is currently pursuing both his AACI and an MBA and thus has given up sleeping for the next few years.

Adam will play a large role in helping to shape VAS’ internal infrastructure including databases and co-ordination with the US on our eventual adoption of their IT platform.

 
OTTAWA: Steve LeFaivre, AACI - Associate Director
Steve most recently worked alongside the senior partner of a national valuation and consulting firm and has experience with a wide range of asset types. Steve has a very strong technical background, is highly skilled in modeling investments in both Argus and Excel and has provided a full range of valuation and consulting services to clients such as Manulife Financial, Standard Life, PWGCS and the City of Ottawa.

Steve received his Bachelor of Science in Business at Wake Forest University(where he also earned a four year scholarship to play on their nationally ranked baseball team).

Steve will work very closely with Ottawa’s Managing Director, Greg Clark, in developing valuation business and in supporting the Ottawa Investment team.

 
MONTREAL: Daniel Gagnon, EA, AACI
Prior to joining CBRE, Daniel was a senior advisor with a well known Quebec pension fund and was also a principal in the Axival appraisal company.  Daniel has over 25 years experience in the appraisal industry and is both an AACI and EA.  Daniel will be working closely with Avi Krispine in Montreal primarily in a business development capacity as we continue to build our Quebec operations.

Daniel will also focus on the areas of realty tax management, litigation / arbitration and expropriation.

Together with  the existing Valuation and Advisory team, these individuals will strengthen  the service offering, particularly in the areas of institutional valuation and financial due diligence services.
